Around the Village: Acton Bridge Playing Field

The village playing field is behind Chapel Lane and Orchard Avenue, on the edge of open country. Some new play equipment was recently installed : a multi-activity frame with climbing areas and a slide, and a swing. The frame and installation costs were generously paid for by Vale Royal Borough Council, and the Parish Council paid for the swing (in the foreground).

Much of the effort to enhance the playing field came from the late Mrs Sylvia Carding, and also from local children who campaigned successfully for new equipment.
