1 Public Matters
No members of the public present.
2 Minutes
Minutes of the meeting held on 1st March 2010 were accepted and signed.
3 Matters arising
a) Proposed Ward. No news as yet. There was an item in the March edition of the Weaverham News stating that Weaverham, Cuddington and Acton Bridge Parish Councils had all agreed with Weaverham Trust's suggestion that a new ward should be formed comprising of these three parishes. Acton Bridge had disagreed with this proposal and Weaverham Parish Council were informed of this. Mr Hodgson will phone John Freeman to inform him that this is completely wrong and that a meeting was held by ABPC with the villagers and it was unanimously agreed to stay as we were. A letter is to be sent to Weaverham PC to reiterate these facts. Action Clerk.
b) SID's and Speed gun. No news as yet from Mr D Bowker. Mr Bowker to be contacted. Action A Hughes.
c) Pot holes, Hazel Pear. Mr Holt contacted Network Rail and an e-mail has been received stating that the pot holes were the responsibility of the Highways Authority and that the Highways have marked them as requiring attention. Mr Holt replied to Network Rail pointing out that the holes marked were not the ones in question. Network Rail have requested a plan from the Land Registry to see who owns the land.
d) Smelly grid, outside Hazel Pear Inn. Plans looked at are not precise. Action Mr Oultram will contact Highways. Action Mr Holt will contact Mr Oultram.
e) Refurbishment of Parish Room. Mr Heaton has done a lot of work on preparing a schedule of work and has figures for work on the outside of Parish Rooms. Mr Hodgson is having a meeting with Jane Evans and Veronica Oliver about applying for grants.
A letter is to be sent to Mr Heaton stating the Parish Council's appreciation of all his work. Action Clerk.
f) Weight restrictions. This restriction is an environmental restriction and it is for the Police to enforce.
g) Work on Viaduct. Use of Mr & Mrs Hayward's land by Network Rail. A letter has been sent to Network Rail concerning this proposed work. An acknowledgement of letter received from Harrington Property Services who have passed the queries raised on to Network Rail. Gemma Day, Network Rail is looking into this.

6 Financial Matters
Authorisation of 2 Cheques required.
Cheshire Community Action £20.00.
Cheshire Assoc of Local Councils £156.00.
Clerk's salary for 3 mths £285.00.
Vat for 09/10 has been requested.
Rebate of tax paid on interest on Cheshire Building Society for the past five years has been requested.
Audit papers have been received and Allianz Insurance papers for 10/11.
7 District Representatives Report
None.
8 Reports from other meetings
Bob Heaton and David Evans attended the West Cheshire Home Watch co-ordinators' meeting on March 2nd. A sub-group was formed to examine current issues and local arrangements also the possible benefits and the necessity of a new approach. Messrs Heaton and Evans will review information, and Bob Heaton will call a meeting of current Acton Bridge co-ordinators.

10 Village Matters
a) Mrs Bayley had forwarded a complaint about the damage to grass verges on Station Rd and Milton Rough. This problem has been raised previously.
b) Playing field. Mrs S Sidwell, Chapel Lane has inquired about the possibility of more play equipment.
c) Complaint received concerning an overflowing skip at the Nursery, Station Rd. Mr Holt has been to see the owner and he agreed that it required emptying and would see to it.
11 Any other business
There have been thefts from cars parked in Delamere.

The next meeting will be The Annual General Meeting.
The Parish Council meeting will start at 7.00pm on Tuesday 4th May
