April 2015 Acton Bridge W.I. Banner

The banner was made as part of the WI Centenary Celebrations,and shows the Oak Leaves representing "Ac-Tun" (meaning place in the Oak Forest) ; the Pear Blossom characteristic of its Hazel Pear orchards ; and the Swing Bridge over the River Weaver, from which the village takes its comparatively recent second name.
