1. Election of Chairman
Nominations were requested and Mr M Hodgson proposed Mr R Holt for the position of Chairman. Mr D Evans seconded the proposal. Mr Holt accepted the position.
Mr A Hughes proposed Mr S Pardoe for the position of Vice Chairman and was seconded by Mr D Evans. Mr Pardoe accepted. The Council members were thanked for their vote of confidence in both the Chairman and the Vice chairman.
2. AGM minutes.
The minutes of the AGM held on 5th May 2009 were accepted and signed.
3. Public Matters

5 Matters arising
a) SID's. Mr D Bowker has informed the Council that the Health & Safety issue on the use of SID's has not been fully accepted yet by CW&C. Mr Holt will contact Mr Bowker again. Mr A Hughes will also contact the Police for an update.
b) Pavilion. No further progress.
c) Bus Shelter site. The bench and a waste bin are now in position on site. Clerk to contact Allianz regarding the insurance.
d) Pot holes outside Hazel Pear. Still awaiting response from Highways.
e) Bench around tree at junction of Hill Top Rd and Cliff Rd. Mr A Hughes reported that this has now been inspected. The wood is fine and the structure sound. Mr R Nagle has quoted a price of £35 for a repaint.
f) Mr Holt reported that he had contacted Planning about the Certificate of Lawful Development requested for a residential caravan at 'Kinsale', Sandy Lane. He was informed that this does not give the right to erect any buildings on the site.
g) Weaver Valley Development Project. It was decided to keep a watching brief on this proposal.
h) Mr Hodgson could not attend the 'Mayor making' at Ellesmere Port.
i) Compost making. Mr Hodgson said that the WI Produce Show could be a good time to give advice on composting.
6. Planning Applications
a) 35 Cliff Rd. First floor extn and single storey front and rear extns.
The Council objected to this proposal on the grounds that it would make a significant change to the overall size and presentation of the building and will be obtrusive on the skyline and also it would have an impact on the neighbouring property.
b) 66 Cliff Rd. Amendments to extn approved under appeal on Appl 07-2666-Ful to provide window, rear porch/canopy and chimney.
The Council objected to these changes as they are a further development and expansion to plans that were considered inappropriate and only granted on appeal.
7. Planning Decisions
a) 44 Station Rd. permitted by CW&C.
b) 19 Warrington Rd. permitted by CW&C
c) Notification to install a low voltage overhead line with underground supply of electricity which will be taken from the overhead service line. Location: Acton Bridge Cruising Club.
d) Brine Pipe appeal. 14th July at Forest Hill Hotel.
