ACTON BRIDGE PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 3rd October 2005 at 8.30pm

1. Public Matters

No members of the public present.

2. Minutes

Minutes of meeting held on 5th September were accepted & signed .

3. Matters Arising.

a) Wind Farm, Aston Grange. The chairman reported that the Public meeting held on 5th Sept was a good meeting and well attended. Mr S Pardoe gave a very good presentation. A further meeting was held at Crowton attended by Mr N Tappin. It was reported that Liverpool Airport is objecting because of interference to radar.
b) White lines, Chapel Lane. The clerk has spoken to Mr J Oakley again. Cliff Lane resurfacing will be completed next season.
c) Closure of part of A49. This will commence on 10th October.
d) A letter has been sent to the Police suggesting a siting for Speed trailer. No reply as yet. To be chased.
e) New Clerk has been appointed for the Burial Committee.
f) Dog fouling signs requested but no signs being installed as yet due to the possibility of cost of fines increasing.
g) Request for installation of repeater 30mph signs. Letter sent.
h) WI have donated £30 towards bulbs for planting in the village. It was proposed that the PC also contribute £30. This was agreed.
i) Mrs H Bayley applying for 'Flashing lights' for the village.
j) Best Kept Village presentation attended by Mrs H Bayley and Mrs J Pardoe. Acton Bridge did not win.
k) Leylandii hedge, Long Orchard. Owner has been approached and he said that he intends to cut the hedge.

4. Planning Applications

None.

5. Planning Decisions

a) Wind Farm Aston - Date extended for objections.
b) 9 Orchard Ave - refused by VRBC
c) Sandycroft, Warrington Rd - approved by VRBC
d) 24 Cliff Rd - approved by VRBC

6. Authority for signing cheques and Financial Matters

Cheshire Building Society require invisible signatures of signatories.
Second instalment of Precept now in Bank account.

7. District Representatives Report

None.

8. Reports from other meetings

Town and Parish Councils meeting attended by R Holt and K Worrall - see attachment.
Aston Parish meeting with VR, Dulas and Tegni Cymru. Mins of meeting circulated.
Community Action Team. R Holt met representative to find that it is concerned with anti-social behaviour.

9. Correspondence

a) Police Forum 12 0ct Tarporley. Reminder for those who would like to attend.
b) Precept received.
c) NHS Primary Trust meeting 6th Oct.
d) VRBC Tree planting info.
e) CCC Road closure notice. In force for 18 months.
f) CCC Questionnaire relevant to Change up Prog. for Cheshire and Warrington.
g) Cheshire Planning Forum.

10. Village Matters

a) Road sign required Junction of Old Lane & Hill Top Rd.
b) Tractors going through the village are overloaded with potatoes.
c) Query planning conditions for Fords Farm .Heavy lorries using Cliff Rd and Chapel Lane.
d) Pavement outside Station badly cracked. J Oakley to be contacted.
e) Garage, Milton Rough has been broken into.
f) Rubbish is being dumped on Acton Lane where people park their cars.

11. Any other business

It was reported that an Alsatian dog has been lost.

12. Next meeting will be held on Monday 7th November 2005 at 7.30pm.
