2. Minutes
Minutes of meeting held on 10th January were accepted & signed as a correct record.
3 Substation Progress
Mr S Pardoe reported that the period for appeal by Network Rail and National Grid was 6 months. This prolongs the concern felt by SAG and villagers alike. It appears that Network Rail make the decisions as they have funds for the Acton Bridge site.
4. Matters Arising.
a) A letter has been received from Weaverham PC thanking ABPC for their letter and assuring ABPC of their continued support against the Substation.
4. Planning Applications
a) Portakabins, River Cruise land adjacent to 19 Warrington Rd - No objections.
5. Planning Decisions
Date extn to convert buildings to holiday lets, Milton Heyes,Sandfield Lane - Permitted by VRBC.
6. Authority for signing cheques and Financial Matters
Precept form completed and returned to VRBC.
Clerk's salary - Clerk and Chairman, Mr R Holt left the meeting.

a) CCC Temporary road closure A49 Cuddington - Due to re-surfacing.
10. Village Matters
a) Speed guns - A BBC correspondent has contacted S Pardoe for information.

12. Next meeting will be held on Monday 7th March 2005 at 7.30pm.
No members of the public present.
b) Speed Guns- no reply yet from the Police.
c) Junction, Hazel Pear Pub - Cllr Dolphin has informed the clerk that she will speak to David Thomas about the problem.
d) Flower beds outside Parish Rooms - The Nursery, Station Rd, are happy to supply the plants for Mr & Mrs Sandys-Winsch to plant but Mr & Mrs Sandys-Winsch would prefer to supply their own plants. It was suggested that the Nursery could put an advert in the ABCA News.
e) Cheshire Railings - Cllr Dolphin spoke to the clerk and said that the contract for the work required has been given to VRBC and should be done within 6 weeks.
f) Strawberry Farm - Letter again sent to Enforcement Officer and a reply has been received stating that the problem is being investigated and to date have had no response from the owners and therefore the issues are being discussed with VR Legal dept. Clerk to check on progress before next meeting.
g) Street lighting, Wall Hill Way and Strawberry Lane - The clerk spoke to the Lighting department and was informed that there is no money for new street lighting and has been none for the past 10 years or so. Old files to be consulted to check on promise of new lighting.
h) Tsunami - M Hodgson has been in touch with a number of agencies for advice as to how Acton Bridge can offer help. He has had no success as yet but will keep trying.
i) Posts outside Parish Room - Repair contracted out and work will be done soon.
b) Garage / store alterations, Box Hedge Wetton Lane. Mr S Pardoe declared his interest in the application and took no part in the meeting - No objections
Cheshire Building Society £1579.33
Cheques required : Burial Committee £116. 00, Hacker Young Auditors £82. 25.
Acton Bridge Parish Council has received a clean Audit report from Hacker Young. They made an observation that the PC should reclaim VAT even though the PC do not have to be VAT registered and this should be incorporated into Standing Orders.
A discussion was held chaired by Mr S Pardoe and it was decided to award the clerk an increase of £10 per month, as a salary increase was overlooked last year, bringing the salary to £80 per month. The clerk was thanked for her work and in return the clerk thanked the Council.
