2. Minutes of the meeting held on 1st March were accepted as a correct record.

a) Cheshire Farms planning application. Discussed see District Rep Report
4. Planning Applications
a) 24 Cliff Rd. Alterations and first floor rear extn Mr R Gleave to check with neighbours for their opinion and the PC will go along with them.

7. District Representatives Report
Cllr A Hooker reported that she spoke on behalf of the PC at the planning meeting on Woodbine Cottage. She argued on the points of the height and the fact that it was green belt, but the plans have gone through. Strawberry Farm (Cheshire Farms) - Cllr Hooker attended a meeting with the applicant and Planning Officer. The applicant withdrew the appeal and is now arguing that it is a farm. Hearing was adjourned until 31 March. He is putting in a new application as he feels he should have the rights of a farm.

A meeting of the Burial Committee was held to appoint an Auditor.

10. Village Matters
a) 33 Milton Rough - Carport has been erected with Velux windows. Should planning permission have been requested? Check with Enforcement Officer.
b) Station. Access for disabled difficult.
c) John Woodward has complained that he was refused permission to erect a sign but another sign has been erected without permission.
d) Express Dairies tanker speeds through the village every evening. E Connor to get number of vehicle.
e) Hedges, Wetton Lane have been cut but not very well. They have been hacked at.

a) Accounts for 2003/04 presented and accepted.
12. Next meeting [AGM] will be held on Tuesday 4th May 2004 at 7.00 pm.

b) Woodbine Cottage Discussed see District Rep Report
c) Substation. Publicity event with fluorescent tubes was successful & it was reported in the local paper. Changes are being made to the proposal but do not know what as yet. Possibly a smaller tower, but it will still be objected to. Nothing can be done until the new plans have been seen. Mike Hall MP has raised the Substation and Hartford station in Parliament. The Minister said that Acton Bridge had been chosen because it was the most convenient. Next SAG meeting on 24th April
d) Pavement, Hill Top Rd has been resurfaced. A thank you letter to be sent to Cllr Dolphin with a reminder about the Cheshire railings. An invitation to the June meeting to be sent also.
e) Litter pick throughout the village was successful.
f) Civic Service held at Weaverham was very enjoyable.
h) WI have entered Acton Bridge into 'the Best kept Village' again. PC to pay half of entry fee.
i) Sandstone wall is the responsibility of landowner.
b) Telecommunications tower Dutton Park. Dutton PC to be contacted, as it is in their area, to see what they feel. PC to go along with them.
c) 68 Cliff Rd. 2 storey side extn & single storey rear extn & garage & rear conservatory. No objection.
d) Wall Hill Cottage, Acton Lane. Demolition of existing building and replacement etc. Objections from PC on height & look of building compared to other village properties. Contact VRBC for more time to consider.

No date as yet for Substation Planning meeting, it will probably go to the Secretary of State. Cllr A Hooker will become VR Mayor on 13th May. Congratulations were offered to her.
Weaverham Trust - There have been no requests for assistance.
b) CCC Road closure on part of A51 1st June - 2 Sept.
c) VRBC Environmental grants.
d) Letters from Enforcement Officer VRBC saying that he will look into the height of the fences at properties in Strawberry Lane and Wall Hill Way.
e) Margaret Carding has passed a picture of a seat for the Playing field that the family of Sylvia Carding wish to donate. It was agreed that the picnic type table and bench would probably be the best.
g) CCC new Public Rights of Way New Maintenance and Enforcement Officer appointed
h) CCC Structural Plan launch 7 April, Chester.
i) CCC Website Hosting scheme.
j) Letter from Society of Local Council Clerks, offering membership for Clerk.
k) Mayors Parlour invitation 30 April. S Pardoe may be able to attend.
l) Cheshire Planning Forum - R Gleave and E Connor to attend.
m) DTI DEFRA Partnership in 'Rolling out broad band in rural communities'.
n) Central Cheshire NHS changes to night time and weekend visits from doctors.
