1. Minutes of the last meeting held on 6th October were accepted and signed as a correct record.

a) Playing field - VRBC have informed the Parish Council that work should begin on the Playing field 17th November. VRBC will fund the project except for the swing requested by the Parish Council at the cost of £684. VRBC will invoice the PC. Insurance will be covered by VRBC. Margaret Carding to be contacted.

Planning Forum. The future environment was discussed. Building on Green field sites to be discouraged. Too many are being built on. Frodsham has now officially been given 'Market Town' status.
9. Correspondence
a) Letter received from R Oultram, Crowton Parish Council about a proposal for a new quarry at Norley near the existing one. It was decided that no action would be taken by ABPC after Mr S Pardoe, who had been along to the 'Open Day' held at Crowton Village Hall, gave an explanation of the proposals.
10. Village Matters
a) It was reported that a business is being run from 20 Hill Top Rd. There is a container that planning permission should have been applied for, and it has been there approx 18 mths, also fork lift trucks unload items.

12. Proposed Substation
A meeting was held and an action group was set up comprising people from the Parish Councils of Acton Bridge, Weaverham, Weaverham Trust, and villagers.

b) A meeting between N Tappin, K Worrall and John Oakley of VRBC has been arranged for the 4th November to look at work required around the village.
c) Daffodil bulbs from VR have been delivered. There are plenty of daffodil bulbs left if any one would like to plant some in the village.
d) Cheshire Farms plans for stables near Strawberry Lane. R Gleave and S Pardoe went to VR Winsford to speak to Mr C Williams and to see the plans proposed. A copy of the report prepared by Mr S Pardoe is to be sent to the Planning Inspectorate.
e) Quality Clerk Paperwork concerning Clerk Portfolio has now been received - to be discussed at the next meeting.
f) Speed gun. Reply received from Police. There have been some developments with good results. The Police are now looking into the use of Speed guns and they have said that they now have a Trailer that monitors the speed of motorists. The Trailer can be parked in a convenient place along the roadside. The Police think that the use of the trailer in Acton Bridge is a possibility.
g) Mr E Connor is not moving now. He would like to return the gift from the Parish Council.
h) Vacancy for Parish Councillor. There were three applicants. After discussion it was decided to invite back Mr E Connor. The other applicants were to be thanked for their interest.
i) Bridge Nursery is now being leased.

Burial Ground Meeting - Mr M Hodgson has been re-elected as Chairman. Hoping to expand the burial ground and the committee are hoping that VR will act as agents for additional land. Moles are causing problems and a mole catcher has been contacted.
b) Best Kept Village results - AB was equal 14th. The playing field let the village down badly.
c) CCC Further funding for 'ride-along' service.
d) Hacker Young, Auditors - AB have been given a clean report by the auditors. A letter is to be sent to Peter Young thanking him for his help.
e) Nation Grid Transco. Reply received to request for representatives to attend a public information event. They said that they are currently reviewing their proposals and will discuss the revised proposals at the appropriate time.
b) There have been two more break-ins, one in Station Rd and the other at a house in Milton Rough. Mr R Heaton is to be asked to attend the next meeting.
c) Rubbish is still piled up in the Station yard. Mr A Thompson, Environmental Officer to be contacted again.
