ACTON BRIDGE PARISH COUNCIL

Annual General Meeting
Held on 5th May 2009 at 7.30pm in the Parish Rooms

Mr D Evans sent apologies for absence.

1 One member of the public present.

2 Minutes from the AGM held on 6th May 2008 were accepted and signed

3 Matters arising

a) Speeding. Discussions have taken place about using SID's in the village.
The Police have already used one speed trap in the village.
b) Best Kept Village. Thanks to all the people who worked hard in the village. 'Best improved Village' award was presented to Acton Bridge.
If the plaque has to be returned the PC will get a plaque made.
c) Sat Navigation devices. The Parish Council tried to get the County Council interested in erecting notices warning people not to rely on these devices, unfortunately the County Council showed no interest at all.
d) ABCA. Pavilion still in abeyance.

5 Village Matters.

a) Mr Pardoe thanked the Chairman and Clerk for their work.
b) Milestone, Station Rd. requires painting. Mrs Bayley to contact council.
c) Bench and waste bin due to be placed at bus stop site on 11th May.

The meeting was brought to a close at 8.00pm
