| Stephen Pardoe and his wife Judith have lived in Acton Bridge for 23 years, moving house within the village in 2003. They have grown-up children, and six grandchildren. Steve has been a member of the Parish Council since April 2001, while Judy has been involved with Acton Bridge Community Association and the Women's Institute, and is currently one of its "rolling" Presidents.
As a long-term resident of the village, Steve would continue to serve the best interests of all its inhabitants, with particular emphasis on maintaining the rural character of Acton Bridge while ensuring that it has practical, safe and efficient amenities. |

Steve was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1948, but has lived and worked in Cheshire for most of his life. Until retirement in 2008 he was a Director of Able Systems, a designer and manufacturer of electronic printers, based in Northwich, which he helped to form in 1982.
Steve enjoys walking, rock-climbing and mountaineering, and overseas travel, together with writing and photography. He and Judy are long-standing members of the British Mountaineering Council and the National Trust. His LinkedIn profile is here.
