Fri 16 November 10am Local Walk. Contact Margaret W (851788 or email her) if you would like to join our friendly regular monthly walks.

Fri 16 November 7.30pm ABCA fund-raising Race Night. Have supper and an evening of fun with the horses! Bar, raffle. Tickets £10, including meal, from Jane (853129).

Weds 14 - Sat 17 November 7.30pm (check times!) Mid Cheshire Musical Theatre Co. present "Hello Dolly" at the Grange School Theatre. Tickets £12, concessions £10, children £6. Book online at www.mcmtc.co.uk or phone 853573 (day) or 841254 (eve).

Fri 30 November 10.00am "With Christmas in Mind" Craft/Flower session - make a door garland, flowers for the table, decorate a topiary tree, at Lower Withington Village Hall. Tickets £18 including basic materials. Phone (01477) 532935 for details.

Fri 30 November 7.30pm Our Weaver Valley WI choir sings at the annual Christmas Concert in aid of the Methodist Church funds. At the Parish Rooms. Tickets from any choir member, or phone Eileen (853676).

Mon 10 December 7pm Group Carol Service at Helsby Methodist Church - good parking! All welcome - carols and traditional Bible readings with mincepies and shortbread, tea and coffee after!

Tue 11 December 6 for 6.30pm WI and "Seniors" Christmas Party. WI members and partners book your meal (£5) with Sue Williams or Valerie Mitchell tonight! (or contact them before Dec 1st). Invitations to all the seniors in the village have already gone out. The Brownies will entertain before the meal, with more entertainment after!

Weds 12 December 7.45pm Visit "Peter Pan" at Harlequin Theatre. Tickets £7. Sign up on board. Friends and/or family welcome!

Fri 14 December 7.30pm Distaff Singers present their annual Christmas Concert of joyfully lively music and readings. Tickets (£7) including a glass of wine and a mincepie from Caroline (852406) or Rosemary (852542). All welcome! In aid of CLIC Sargent Cancer Care.

Weds 19 December Early evening Father Christmas tours Acton Bridge on his float! Collection by Delamere Forest 41 club in aid of St Luke's Hospice.

Tues 8 January 2013(!) 7.30pm First WI meeting of the year! Visit Burma with Roy Willis, and catch up with your friends after Christmas - and all without leaving the Parish Rooms! Put the date in your diary!
