Thursdays 10am Pilates in Acton Bridge again! £6 per session. In Parish Rooms, with Victoria Stubbs, Chartered Physiotherapist. Call 07813912313 for more details, or just turn up.
Wed 9 May 8pm Local concert "Majesty and Praise" by Chester St Cecilia Singers at Crowton Church - celebratory and sacred music for a Royal Jubilee. Tickets £8 incl wine & shortbread from Sue Williams - 853614
Wed 16 May 7.30pm Not to be missed! Reformed Weaver Valley Group's first meeting! Speaker is Tricia Stewart, original Calendar Girl. Tickets £5 from Pat Coates (if there are any left!) At Frodsham Community Centre.
Thurs 17 May 7pm Evening meeting for new members. Details from Val.
Fri 25 May 10am Local Walk. Meet at the Parish Rooms car park. Let Margaret Williams (851788) know if you are able to join us - we don't want to go without you!
Wed 30 May - National WI AGM at the Royal Albert Hall. Look out for our delegate's report - will the resolution supporting midwives go through?
Sat 2 June 1.30pm to late Acton Bridge celebrates the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, including parade, gala with fancy dress competitions, tug of war, 5 a side football, dog competitions, entertainments, souvenir mugs for the children and hog roast in the evening for the grown-ups. We're on teas and cakes - please sign up to help and join in the fun!
Tues 19 & Weds 20 June - Cheshire Show. Don't forget to visit the WI tent!
Fri 29 June 7.30pm Summer concert by the Distaff Singers - "A British Celebration". Tickets, including wine in the interval, £7 from Rosemary M (852542) or Caroline (852406). Proceeds in aid of CLIC Sargent.
Thurs 12 July 10.30-12.30 & 7.30-9.30pm Two sessions on WI Archives and looking after them. An exhibition is planned for October. At CFWI House. Details from Val Mitchell
Weds 27 July - Nantwich Show - the cheese-lovers' paradise! ....
Weds 1 or Thurs 2 Aug - Our outing! More details soon - but Llangollen Visit to include Steam Railway and horse-drawn canal boat. Put the date in your diary now!
