Acton Bridge village has adopted a corner of the road by the Station to build a flower bed. Volunteers put together the railway sleepers, several tons of topsoil, and lots of new plants to create what we hope will be an attractive feature and a focal point for the village. We also cleared and planted an area by the car park. Elevenses were kindly provided by Mike and Sue from the Hazel Pear, who also laid on hot soup and bread when we'd finished work! The following pictures were taken by Rosey M.
We are still looking for more volunteers to maintain the gardens on the station platform. If you are interested in helping us, please come along on any first Saturday in the month to meet us and join in the fun. No experience needed, just enthusiasm.
